Your notice must identify the account, explain why access was lost, and describe the steps being taken to find a replacement.</p>\n<p>Notify the OFR <strong>immediately</strong> when the BSA/AML Compliance Officer is replaced. The new BSA/AML Compliance Officer must complete a background screening before taking on compliance duties.</p>\n<p><strong>Every notification must follow these steps:</strong></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Write a letter. Include Advanced Compliance Technology, Inc.'s legal name, OFR license number, a description of what happened, the date it happened, and your contact information.</li>\n<li>Send it by registered mail before the deadline.</li>\n<li>Keep the mailing receipt and a copy for at least 5 years.</li>\n<li>If the same event also requires a federal filing — like a SAR or CTR — track those deadlines separately.
