This threshold includes same-day totals for the same customer. Any document from the list above is acceptable regardless of which state issued it.</p>\n<p>The following documents are NOT acceptable as identification for transactions requiring photo ID:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Social Security cards</li>\n<li>Birth certificates</li>\n<li>Credit or debit cards</li>\n<li>Utility bills, bank statements, or employer-issued cards</li>\n<li>Any expired document</li>\n</ul>\n<p>For transactions exceeding $1,000, complete all of the following steps:</p>\n<ol>\n<li>Inspect the ID. Confirm the photograph, name, and date of birth match the customer. This confirms the document belongs to the person in front of you.</li>\n</ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Record the customer's full legal name, date of birth, address, and ID number in the transaction record. A complete record allows Advanced Compliance Technology, Inc. to verify the transaction if it is later reviewed.</li>\n</ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Collect the customer's right thumbprint on the face of the instrument or on a thumbprint card. The thumbprint creates a biometric link between the customer and the transaction.</li>\n</ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Make a legible copy of the photo ID and retain it as part of the transaction record. A retained copy preserves the document details after the customer leaves.</li>\n</ol>\n<p>If a customer cannot present acceptable photo identification for a transaction exceeding $1,000, do not complete the transaction. No alternative method — such as calling an employer or checking prior records — replaces the required photo ID.</p>\n<p>Before completing any transaction, screen the customer's name against the OFAC Specially Designated Nationals list and any other required government lists. Do this before processing, regardless of the transaction amount. Screening prevents Advanced Compliance Technology, Inc. from completing transactions with persons on government prohibited lists.
